Wadebridge Antique Centre – Alex Robins

The Wadebridge Antique Centre opened it’s doors at the beginning of 2016, having moved from Par. Alex the owner has been dealing in antiques for nearly fifty years and also runs the very successful Antiques Fairs Cornwall (AFC). The centre has a team of traders covering a wide and interesting range of expertise. Many items are fresh from local houses, we are happy to value and purchase items that are no longer needed or wanted, please contact us. If you can not find what you are looking for we will find that elusive piece. To help buy there are different payment options, we even offer Gift Vouchers.

We buy single items, part or complete house clearance.

The large building in the centre of Wadebridge in the Jubilee Car Park, formerly Ayers Garage, provided a fantastic location for the business. The town is full of wonderful independent specialist shops and superb eateries that will complete a great day out. The centre sits beside the Camel Trail making a great stop off for walkers and cyclists.

The centre houses an eclectic ensemble of pieces, all traditional antiques or vintage items. We do not not stock or sell any reproduction furniture, only honest original things that can be rare, decorative and quirky in nature at affordable prices. The furniture ranges from ancient country pieces to formal, to delightful arts and crafts or aesthetic movement and beyond. The garden section offers granite troughs, straddle stones, benches, decorative urns, pots, statues and cartwheels. Alex loves to reflect her heritage by offering fairground memorabilia in the nostalgic form of hand painted signs, fairground horses, slot machines and much more.

The jewellery covers every age, style and taste for both ladies and their gentleman. There is both fine and costume jewellery, antique and vintage, precious metals and stones, charming and stylish costume pieces. There are pocket, cocktail and wrist watches, Albert chains and Albertinas.

From one extreme to the other, we offer a good range of militaria, one of our experts specialises in WW1 medals, weapons, but alongside, he has items to offer from conflicts across time and continents. Another dealer has a vast collection of glass ware and wine related items and memorabilia.

We are very lucky to have a resident clock restorer, who will repair clocks here or perhaps visit your home, usually within the week. This service starts around £35 for a full service, please ask for more details.
