Measure from PDF Drawings

Officially established in 2010, AnyScale is a company based in Essex that focuses specifically on the provision of a unique innovation designed to enable the swift scale, measurement and printing of PDF drawings. Currently sold to contractors, subcontractors, quantity surveyors and architects in 19 countries, the product, ‘QuickScale’, has proven massively successful within the building & construction industry.

The component, which takes accurate measurements and areas off PDF drawings and photographs, has also been valued within the ship building, marine insurance, event planning, CCTV and communications markets for its ease of use and flexibility. The simplistic system was developed to aid those working from home with little PC knowledge, although its soaring success has led to product integration into large international companies and small enterprises.

“Our software is simpler and cheaper than the competition,” divulged AnyScale spokesperson Leanne Mitchell. “We focus on customer support and take this extremely seriously. Once a customer purchases QuickScale, they will be able to use it indefinitely and we are available for help and support as long as they need (at no extra cost). We believe that the customer should be helped as and when a situation occurs – they shouldn’t have to log a support call and wait for a response.”

Despite this level of assistance, many users become quickly accustomed to using the product, as Leanne continued: “Clients are amazed at how quickly they understand QuickScale. We’re often told by new free trial users that they think they need to set aside a couple of hours to focus on the software – they are therefore pleased to discover that they can start their take off almost immediately.”
With QuickScale the operator needs one known measurement to complete the process; typing in the distance and inputting the known figure will enable the technology to scale the PDF as appropriate. Forget sourcing third party printers; simply clicking on points and corners of the areas will formulate all of the necessary dimensions.
