Enjoy Your Stay at The Buck Inn

If you are interested in good food, real ale and quality accommodation, and if you appreciate excellent customer service and a homely setting, then you really must venture to The Buck Inn at Chop Gate.

The North Yorkshire-based guesthouse can be found between Stokesley and Helmsley in the North York Moors National Park, where it is managed harmoniously by husband and wife team Helen and Wolfgang. Having owned and run the Buck Inn since 2010, the couple are pleased to offer all visitors a warm and friendly welcome, whether those passing through its doors are looking for a social drink, a warming homemade meal or a relaxing overnight stay.

The traditional inn is set in Bilsdale in a prime countryside location in close proximity to Wainwright’s Coast to Coast (just 2.5 miles from Clay Bank Top). A complimentary lift is offered to walkers of the Coast to Coast and Cleveland way from Clay Bank top and returned there to continue their journey in the morning.  What makes The Buck Inn particularly attractive is the fact that it is a smoking free facility featuring an allergy/diet conscious restaurant. This customer-oriented approach means all guests can rest assured they will receive a hospitable response should they make any specific requests to cater for their dietary need. Gluten intolerant guests are catered for.

Serving a delicious range of English and German meals, the eatery changes its menus frequently in order to make the most out of seasonal produce. This ensures that hearty dishes can be made fresh with locally sourced ingredients. The German beers on tap and wines available make a perfect accompaniment for an even greater dining experience.

Guests staying overnight can enjoy a freshly cooked breakfast in the morning, cereal, fruit juice and toast and jam are all included in the reservation. Priced per room per night, rates are subject to change prior to the booking confirmation.

The comfortable accommodation is suitable for all. The six en-suite rooms includes double, twin and family rooms.  All are situated on the ground floor for easy access. The hotel has a large car park. The rooms are ensuite and are fully equipped with modern amenities, incorporating 22” flat screen TV’s with built-in DVD player and Freeview for entertainment. They have tea and coffee making equipment for refreshment.

In addition, there are laundry and drying facilities available for people walking the coast to coast & Cleveland way and lock up facilities for cycles & motorbikes (as a motorbike friendly location). There is even an outside sitting area, which can be found in the garden.
