Providing power solutions to the industries

Power Systems is a specialist engineering company dealing in ‘Power Bridge’ products for use in up to seven different markets.

Power Systems International Limited was first established back in 1986 in the UK by Bernard Wallace. Today, Power Systems has grown to become one of the world’s most recognised names in engineering, with clients around the world. They offer a large number of services, including electrical installation, battery testing, power factor management, repairs and upgrades, logistics, hire and rental and more. Some of the different markets they serve include aviation, oil, power stations, militaries, rails and laboratories to name a few.

One of their most lauded products is the Evacuation Lift Power System, or ELPS, which is specially designed to evacuate disabled, injured or incapacitated persons from danger. Power Systems recently launched the ELPS Series 4, and worked closely with the Local Government of Cambridgeshire County Council to build ELPS standby power systems in schools, hospitals and other high use public buildings. The ELPS unit is a compact standby power system that uses a rectifier battery charger and a maintenance free battery. It is designed specifically to work with lifts, whether traction or hydraulic. In the event of an emergency, the ELPS can be activated by an authorised controller and can perform ten upwards and ten downwards journeys within a single hour.

As the ELPS is a backup system, it places less strain on the batteries and as such reduces energy consumption. Furthermore the unit, which is built in a steel enclosure, is eco-friendly and uses only 250 watts of electricity which helps it last significantly longer than conventional UPS systems.

When it comes to spare parts, Power Systems provides a vast range of components and replacement parts, including but not limited to air-conditioning parts for trains, capacitors, compressor motors, inverters, fuel pressure restrictor valves, battery monitors and chargers, snubbers and far more. Power Systems provide more than just cutting edge products and spare parts however, as they also offer a product upgrade service. From their design and manufacturing facility, Power Systems can re-engineer replacement heat sink assemblies, reproduce printed circuit boards, replace obsolete or no longer manufactured material and more.
